I'm sorry for the late response. This problem only happens when I use my
docking at work, but I usually only have time for playing around at home, where
there's no docking.
Unfortunately the bug also exists in the mainline kernel.

Title:
USB-devices connected to dockin not recognized when connected at boot
Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Bug description:
My laptop is mostly connected to a docking station in my office. If
the computer is docked when booting, the USB devices (keyboard, mouse)
are not detected. If I remove the computer from docking and then
reinsert everything works as expected. Monitors and network connected
to the dock does not have this issue.
