I found on Ubuntu forums that the contents of etc/modprobe.d/trackpad.conf file should be:
options psmouse proto=imps It worked for others, but it doesn't work for me. Why? I'm following the instruction: Files in /etc/modprobe.d/ directory can be used to pass module settings to udev, which will use modprobe to manage the loading of the modules during system boot.
