mainline kernel is not a software package provided by the official
Ubuntu repositories. Because of this the Ubuntu project can not support
or fix your particular bug. Please report this bug to the provider of

Bug description:
  On my machine (AMD FX-8370E Eight-Core Processor × 8), Linux kernel
  4.10.0-041000rc1 from http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline
  systematically fails to boot :

  I find NOTHING in 'kern.log'.

  The console displays :
  BUG: unable to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference at 000000000000004c
  ...
  Kernel panic - not syncing: Attempted to kill init! exitcode=0x00000009

  I am trying to attach :
  -  'lspci-vvnn.log' obtained with Linux kernel 4.9.0
  -  2 different console screenshots
