It looks an old bug report (#1581088) is back.
I recently upgraded from 18.1 to 18.2 and lost my middle mouse button of a
Bluetooth Mouse
"Logitech M557"
Searching for root cause I found this bug report #1581088.
Following resolution attemps I could figure the same root cause and solution.

The porperty 399 (Evdev Wheel Emulation) was set to "0", even in in
the gnome-tweak-tool is has been enabled.
After setting this property to "1" with

my middle mouse button is working as expected.
