If the issue remains, could you please run the following command in the development release from a Terminal (Applications->Accessories->Terminal), as it will automatically gather and attach updated debug information to this report:

The Enable Networking is unchecked but "enabling networking" doesn't do anything and I see nothing relevant in the dmesg system log. It worked with previous versions of ubuntu from 12.04 to 13.04 without issues. So I'm figuring there is a bug somewhere that was introduced.
