Nando, in addition to providing the test results from

:

1) As per TP-Link there are three versions of this device https://www
.tp-link.com/us/download/TL-WN722N.html. Which version do you have?

2) As per the sticker of the computer itself (not from the result of a
terminal command), could you please provide the full computer model?

3) Is this something that started to happen after an update? if so,
which and when precisely?

4) If you boot into a live environment (not text only) from
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/ could you please provide
debugging information by running the following in a terminal:
apport-collect 1775230

Title:
TP-LINK TL-WN722N causes 100% CPU usage due to trace logging

Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Hello.

Running Ubuntu 18.04 (4.15.0-22-generic), after plugging my TP-LINK
TL-WN722N into the USB port, the CPU usage goes to 100%, and there are
multiple reports of "stack traces" in dmesg.

The attached snippet repeats multiple consecutive times in the dmesg
output (albeit with a different trace id).
