Title:
backlight control not working
Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
I have followed the instructions at
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Kernel/Debugging/Backlight
The backlight control only works when I try the workaround by passing
ONLY the kernel parameter "acpi_osi=" by editing the kernel boot at
startup (by pressing the shift key). However, when I try adding this
parameter permanently to the grub file, it doesn't work anymore. Any
idea how to fix this?
Thank you in advance.
