Title:
linux 3.13.0-151 causes win7 qemu-KVM VM to fail boot

Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
After my system was upgraded from linux 3.13.0-149 -> 3.13.0-151, my
windows 7 virtual machine fails to boot. I tried both my existing
disk image, and the windows 7 installer. Both either hang early in
the boot process or enter a reboot loop. The windows 10 installer
  boots fine.

I'm launching qemu-kvm through libvirt using virsh. I'll attach the
XML file for the virtual machine here, but I tried simplifying it down
as far as possible and the problem still reproduces.

I also tried 3.13.0-153 when it became available, but the issue
  remains.

For now, I've downgraded back to 3.13.0-149 as a work-around, but this
  doesn't seem like a feasible long-term solution.
