Public bug reported:

When i am trying tu uipgarde from 14,04 to 16.04 (ubuntu)
when the process starts, a crash occurs:
first step {preparandola actualizacion} "preparing the update" runs ok.
the process crash in the "second step" called {configurando nuevos canales de
software} "configuring new software channels" with the error message {No se ha
podido calcular la actualizacion} "enable to calculate the update"
the third possible cause is {paquetes no oficiales de software no
proporcionados por ubuntu} "non-official packages don't provided for ubuntu"
looks is my issue. I have disabled third part sources from the configuration,
but there must be something else because it even does not work.
Please help "all of us" with this issue to be able to upgrade to ubuntu 16.04
(in order to go to ubuntu 18.04 already available)
Thanks in advance.
