This has worked fine under Ubuntu 12.10 with kernel 3.5.0. This seems to be related to current kernel versions. Bluetooth turns on right when the kernel starts booting after grub. I have tested: - Ubuntu 12.10, kernel 3.5.0 - works - Ubuntu 12.10, kernel 3.6.0 - works - Ubuntu 12.10, kernel 3.6.11 - works - Ubuntu 12.10, kernel 3.7.0rc1 - broken - Ubuntu 12.10, kernel 3.7.9 - broken - Ubuntu 12.10, kernel 3.8.0 - broken - Ubuntu 13.04, kernel 3.8.0 - broken Other people have that problem too: http://forum.notebookreview.com/linux-compatibility-software/708796-clevo-p150em-p170em-sager-np9150-9170-backlit-keyboard-driver-beta-testers-needed-2.html I noticed this, when I tried to boot a newer kernel under Ubuntu 12.10 to fix my brightness fn-keys: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1041116 ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 13.04 Package: linux-image-3.8.0-7-generic 3.8.0-7.15 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.8.0-7.15-generic 3.8.0 Uname: Linux 3.8.0-7-generic x86_64 ApportVersion: 2.8-0ubuntu4 Architecture: amd64 AudioDevicesInUse: USER PID ACCESS COMMAND /dev/snd/controlC0: ubuntu 4676 F.... pulseaudio ubuntu 14791 F.... pulseaudio CasperVersion: 1.330 Date: Fri Feb 22 23:20:19 2013 LiveMediaBuild: Ubuntu 13.04 "Raring Ringtail" - Alpha amd64 (20130222) MachineType: CLEVO P15xEMx MarkForUpload: True ProcEnviron: TERM=xterm PATH=(custom, no user) XDG_RUNTIME_DIR=<set> LANG=de_DE.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash ProcFB: 0 nouveaufb 1 inteldrmfb ProcKernelCmdLine: noprompt cdrom-detect/try-usb=true persistent file=/cdrom/preseed/username.seed boot=casper initrd=/casper/initrd.lz quiet splash -- maybe-ubiquity RelatedPackageVersions: linux-restricted-modules-3.8.0-7-generic N/A linux-backports-modules-3.8.0-7-generic N/A linux-firmware 1.103 SourcePackage: linux UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) dmi.bios.date: 12/19/2012 dmi.bios.vendor: American Megatrends Inc. dmi.bios.version: 4.6.5 dmi.board.asset.tag: Not Applicable dmi.board.name: P15xEMx dmi.board.vendor: CLEVO dmi.board.version: Not Applicable dmi.chassis.asset.tag: Not Applicable dmi.chassis.type: 10 dmi.chassis.vendor: CLEVO dmi.chassis.version: Not Applicable dmi.modalias: dmi:bvnAmericanMegatrendsInc.:bvr4.6.5:bd12/19/2012:svnCLEVO:pnP15xEMx:pvrNotApplicable:rvnCLEVO:rnP15xEMx:rvrNotApplicable:cvnCLEVO:ct10:cvrNotApplicable: dmi.product.name: P15xEMx dmi.product.version: Not Applicable dmi.sys.vendor: CLEVO To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1131976/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~kernel-packages Post to : kernel-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~kernel-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
