Title:
touchpad stops working after kernel update

Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
My Asus touchpad stops working after the kernel update to 4.15.0-24. I
had to revert to 4.15.0-23 to get the touchpad functionality back.
External mice work just fine though. Another user reported not being
able to get past the login screen on 4.15.0-24 as well. Here's the
link of a post I made on the Ubuntu MATE Community.
