Kai-Heng: I just tested your kernel, but it didn't solve the keyboard issue. However, it seemed to screw up the mouse, which of course has the same vendor and device id, since they operate through the same usb connector. With this kernel the mouse was making large erratic jumps and generating click events when I was just moving the mouse.
Is it possible that the fix was somehow modifying the report data coming from the mouse instead of the report data coming from the keyboard? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1771431 Title: Lenovo Essential Wireless Keyboard doesn't works (Primax Electronics manufacturer) Status in linux: Confirmed Status in linux package in Ubuntu: Triaged Status in linux package in Fedora: Unknown Bug description: Hi I got an issue on Ubuntu 18.04 with latest packages. uname -a: Linux MyLaptop 4.15.0-20-generic #21-Ubuntu SMP Tue Apr 24 06:16:15 UTC 2018 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux lshw: *-usb:0 description: Keyboard product: Lenovo USB Receiver vendor: Lenovo physical id: 3 bus info: usb@1:3 version: 1.05 capabilities: usb-2.00 configuration: driver=usbhid maxpower=100mA speed=12Mbit/s My wireless keyboard is not working, Ubuntu only recognize some special keys (Super, Ctrl, Shift, Alt) This is a Mouse+Keyboard combo using a wireless receiver by usb: lsusb: Bus 001 Device 005: ID 17ef:609b Lenovo Mouse works fine, and in Windows 10 it works with no issues.
