I suggest to enable USB DbC by enabling the kernel options "CONFIG_EARLY_PRINTK_USB_XDBC=Y" and "USB_XHCI_DBGCAP=Y" in Ubuntu kernels >= 4.16 for Bionic HWE and newer ubuntu versions.
