[Fix]
Revert the introducing commit, as done upstream on stable branch linux-5.1.y
by Greg K-H:
https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/stable/linux.git/commit/?h=linux-5.1.y&id=b528880e8b0167c34cb36c1b4e6165192f76267c
[Regression Risk]
Low. Reverts a commit that's known to have cause problems.
