Hello Christoph,

I am sorry, but I cannot retest the entered bug. Because of the continuing
failure I switched hardware for an AMD A10 board. Now Ubuntu Linux works
fine.

Thanks and best regards

Title:
amd64: "Fixing recursive fault but reboot is needed!"

Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
The bootup hangs with the error mentioned in the summary. after five minutes
the booting is possible again. I suspect heating to be the problem. Because
module k10temp reports difficulties with the amd2+ socket/cpu. The tool sensors
reports temperatures of 60°C+ before the initiated reboot hangs! See output of
successful reboot and tool sensors:
  k10temp-pci-00c3
  Adapter: PCI adapter
  temp1: +54.0°C (high = +70.0°C)
                         (crit = +79.0°C, hyst = +77.0°C)
