Title:
missing firmware files from oem image
Status in linux-firmware package in Ubuntu:
Fix Released
Bug description:
When loading the image for the X1C7 (Knockout) I find that although the
kernel is at 5.0.x the iwlwifi firmware files for that load level are missing.
Normally that would not be an issue as it will load an older version in this
case it starts looking for version 46 and that is not there so it finally finds
version 43 which loads, the issue is in when loading securedoc from winmagic it
see that the kernel level is 5.0.x and is expecting the firmware version 46 to
be present if it is not then the wifi does not come up as the fall back method
of loading does not work.
Missing file is iwlwifi-9000-pu-bo-jf-bo-46.ucode
