The touch pad of lap top is not working at all.

Bug description:
The touch pad of the lap top is not working, i tried fixing it by updating
from Ubuntu 16.04 to 18.04 but still problem is there. The touch pad is not
showing in the device list.
I checked the touch pas with windows 10 and it is working fine so it is not a
hardware problem.
