Re: bug 1263368 Even after updating kernel version 3.11.0-15.23, the brightness regulation continues to work on an apparently random basis, never as expected. One day, I find that the brightness can only be regulated by using the System Preferences, as well as the 'right' and 'left' keys; there is no slider to be seen on the monitor, and the Fn key does not function. But then, the next time I start the computer, everything works as it should – I press the Fn key + right or left, the slider is there, everything works properly! Where can I find the random number generator that's causing this?!
