The behaviour is exactly the same though (black screen w/ backlight on) and from the comments on the drm-intel-next commits it would seem like it's "somewhat related" eventhough it does not happen at the same time.
My very wild (and uninformed) guess would be that the code that fixed the issue at boot time would need to be compared to what's called upon wake from screen sleep/dim and probably added there too. But this can be filed as a different bug. Do I need to make it ? With what tags ?
