Correct, please remove that "i8042.nopnp=1" parameter from my previous
comment. Use following parameters instead:

  "dyndbg=file drivers/input/* +pt" i8042.debug=1 log_buf_len=32M

Title:
  Touchpad stopped working after upgrading to Ubuntu 20.04

Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  When I upgraded to Ubuntu 20.04 my touchpad stopped working. When I
  used the command xinput to list the input devices there was a PS/2
  Generic Mouse registered instead of my Lenovo Yoga 13 touchpad. I
  tried to search for the same on the askubuntu forum. I got the answer
  that to try and remove psmouse and then again add it using the command

  sudo modprobe -r psmouse; sudo modprobe psmouse

  This initially solved my problem but later on the same issue arose
  after restarting the machine. The touchpad also is again reported as a
  generic mouse if the system is suspended.
