You have been subscribed to a public bug:
When booting my Lenovo E490 with the Lenovo Powered USB-C Travel Hub (a
kind of dock) already attached, the machine crashes after entering
password into the graphical login interface. More precisely the login
does not complete (in a reasonable time frame) and I cannot switch to
another virtual terminal. Some menus can be selected, but there is no
action (e.g. reboot) and I have to do a hard shutdown (pressing the
power button for 4 sec.). The log files show a kernel oops. When
attaching the dock after login the system seems to work normally.
I do have the latest displaylink drivers installed
(www.displaylink.com).
Attached is a log file snippet.
