Going into Power settings doesn't do any difference. But when I revert back to older linux-firmware 1.116 lid trigger and sleep works correctly. I'm on an Samsung Ativ 9 Plus with Intel Wireless 7260 Checking the changelog for this package, there's a firmware for 7260. so it's somehow blocking sleeps. Let me know if you need logs etc...
