** Description changed: Random freeze on laptop machine, when trying to sleep (normal power- save/timed sleep mechanism). The machine would not respond to anything - except a hard press of the power button. The following was recorded in - the logs at the time of the attempted sleep, indicating a kernel oops. - There are a lot of Nvidia references, so not sure if it's the Nvidia - driver, kernel or both. This is Ubunty 20.04.1 with the latest kernel - 5(Ubuntu 5.4.0-42.46-generic 5.4.44 )and Nvidia river 440.100 + except a hard press of the power button.
