I reinstalled the system with a clean new 20.04.1 LTS (hard drive replacement for a SSD) and everything works fine now with 455 driver. My configuration must have been screwed somehow but it escapes me where about. I won't be needing anymore support so thanks for the ticket. If you need anything else from me please let me know.
