Ok, I guess it's a kernel regression then?

Let's start by testing latest mainline kernel:
https://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v5.10-rc6/amd64/

Title:
Ubuntu 18.04 crashes in less than 1 day

Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
With your latest updates Ubuntu MATE 18.04 crashes in less than 1 day.
The mouse freezes in place and all keyboard and mouse buttons have no
  effect.

Yes, I know it is 18.04. I tried 19.04 but it broke code that worked
in 18.04. I tried 19.10 but it broke code that worked in 18.04. I
tried 20.04 but it broke code that worked in 18.04. Are we seeing a
  trend here.

When I tried 20.04, the WiFi drivers were broken so that I could not
  even install it.

Congratulations. Ubuntu has finally achieved the same quality as code
  from Microsoft.

I do not know why I am wasting time reporting a bug. All my other bug
reports were closed without any attempt to fix the problem.

Please fix the 20.04 WiFi bug so I can downgrade to it.
