Can you please install libinput-tools, and run `sudo libinput debug-
events`, then check if there's any event for the middle click.

Title:
wireless mouse middle click missing on new 20.04

Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
Long time Ubuntu user. Fresh install of 20.04 on an older NUC. Everything
works fine except the Logitech wireless mouse - M185 came in keyboard/mouse
package. Actually the mouse works fine except there is no middle click.
Middle wheel scrolls fine. LSUSB recognizes the receiver:
Bus 001 Device 003: ID 046d:c534 Logitech, Inc. Unifying Receiver

xinput test only recognizes button 1 and 3
  $ xinput test 12
  button press 1
  button release 1
  button press 3
  button release 3

I installed Solaar but that didn't help, although I did like the
Solaar battery gauge. The Ubuntu Mouse & Touchpad Settings doesn't
  show a middle button either.

I miss my middle click paste. :-(
