  After latest update screen randomly flickers

Status in linux-signed-hwe-5.8 package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  After the most recent automatic update, my screen will flicker
  randomly. This is not screen tearing but a random, arbitrary
  flicker/tearing that gets worse when i use calculator, terminal and
  firefox. It is particularly bad when using firefox. It's reasonably
  stable when using google chrome.
