Title:
  package linux-image-3.2.0-24-generic 3.2.0-24.37 failed to
  install/upgrade: ErrorMessage: subprocess installed post-installation
  script returned error exit status 2

Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
  Won't Fix

Bug description:
  As an experiment, I loaded version 11.10 Desktop onto to a 8GB USB key
  using pendrivelinux.com's Universal USB Installer (for WinXP) with the
  'Persistent' file size set to 4GB (leaving 4GB for the operating
  system/image).

  I then upgraded Ubuntu to version 12.04 LTS using the 'Updates
  Available' from the system drop-down menu. I wasn't sure this would
  work...but AFAICT, it works!

  BTW: all this was done on a Panasonic CF-29 MK3 w/touchscreen. The
  only thing that doesn't quite work right is the touchscreen, which
  needs calibration, but I can't find a way to do it - it's not
  important.
