Title:
Kernel fails to recognize touchpad, also no wifi

Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
After working perfectly for over a year the touchpad and wifi on my
HUAWEI MateBook X Pro 2020 (MACHC-WAE9LP) suddenly stopped working (no
  response at all from touchpad).

  ``cat proc/version`` gives:
Linux version 5.13.0-21-generic (buildd@lgw01-amd64-043) (gcc (Ubuntu
9.3.0-17ubuntu1~20.04) 9.3.0, GNU ld (GNU Binutils for Ubuntu) 2.34)
#21-20.04.1-Ubuntu SMP Tue Oct 26 15:49:20 UTC 2021

This problem first occured the 6. of December, after not using ubuntu for a
couple of days (I have both windows and ubuntu in dual boot). Both the touchpad
and wifi works fine in windows.

  When following the instructions on
  https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingTouchpadDetection#generalinfo, I
found that ``cat /proc/bus/input/devices`` does not include a
touchpad. According to the wiki this is because the kernel fails to
  recognize the touchpad.

I also noticed some status messages printed to the screen during
booting, which has not been the case before the problem occured. It
consists of a lot of these messages:

  | OK | Started ...some process...
  | OK | Finished ...some process...

  And ends with:

  /dev/nvme0n1p2: clean: 1300006/38523392 files, 18658438/122878312
  blocks

I have not done much research on the wifi issue yet.
