This should not be an issue in 18.04.6 (which is using the same 5.4 kernel in 20.04 and has version 12.6.0.4). Apologies that this fell through the cracks. Can you confirm that 18.04.6 resolved the problem?

Though we'd need more info... for are we talking the 4.15 GA kernel, or the 5.4 kernel? It would be a bit more involved If I have to pull the patch into 4 different kernels in order to get it back into 4.15 to avoid regressions. BUT it's not difficult, assuming any patches are only applied to lpfc. Once it lands in the scsi tree we can start looking, though I'd be more comfy for it to be in linux-next or mainline. I'll also need someone to fill out some info on the bug to create the SRU justification. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- There is an issue in which we are seeing login failure with Ubuntu 18.04.3, inbox driver version 12.0.0.0 but this issue is not seen with Ubuntu 20.04.2 with inbox driver 12.0.0.6. I found that upstream commit id [0a9e9687acaf6ac1198fd41f03d64f8b92e4515e] could potentially fix this issue.
