I'm also facing this issue with Ubuntu 22.04.1 running on a HP Z800
tower.

In my case, every time I ask for a shutdown, or reboot, windows manager
dies but I can still see all windows contents, and even interact with
applications (some of them), but not able to reboot from GNOME desktop.

I can however login remotely to my Desktop, and then do:

sudo poweroff

and it work correclty, but not from GNOME desktop.

Title:
  System not going to be completly powered off

Status in linux package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
  When i shutdown (Apr 23 23:15), it seems everything powered of except the 
keyboard lights. Then, i try to power on again, but, nothing happened because 
the notebook are still powered on. So, it's never powered off correctly?
