The laptop is doing a hybrid sleep: writing to disk and then sleeping to RAM. It does not happen when I revert to the default suspend-only mode.
Also, I notice this happens only when my RAM utilisation is high. I don't know if that is a bug or intended because my swap partition is small. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1282730 Title: Suspend takes very long, more than 20mins Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Status in “pm-utils” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: This could be a linux kernel or a pm-utils bug. However, from the last few updates, at least from Linux ubuntu 3.13.0-8-generic, suspend is taking a very long time. It takes over 20mins. The "suspend" indicator keeps blinking. First few times, I decided to power off the system thinking it's some other failure. However, yesterday I noticed that the system actually does suspend: it just takes a lot time (20+ minutes). It didn't take more than 2-3 minutes in the past. I have changed my pm settings to do a hybrid sleep when "sleep" is selected. I will post the config file soon.
