I did some more testing, this seems to fix the mic issue, add the following line of code (note different subsystem ID compared to above): SND_PCI_QUIRK(0x17aa, 0x3815, "Lenovo IdeaPad 310", CXT_FIXUP_STEREO_DMIC)
I did compile the module and overwritten the file inside the kernel folder. After rebooting the mic works without needing to mute one channel. However there is high background noise.
