This continues to happen with kernel 6.8.0-28. But I have noticed that if I switch VTs with Ctrl-Alt-Fn to another VT and back the stuck 'Ctrl' situation gets reset.
-- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2061685 Title: ULTS weird behaviour 'screen' 'tmux' (likely kernel error) Status in linux package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: It is hard to provide evidence but the story is: * I start 'tmux' or 'screen'. * Everything works nicely until later, after I switch tabs/windows within them. * Then all my inputs behave as if I kept pressing the 'Ctrl' key, so when I type "v" what is actually receive is Ctrl-v. * If I reboot into kernel 5.15.0-102 with the same "root", that is the same 'tmux' and 'screen' binaries, this does not happen. * Apparently it does not happen inside an X terminal like 'xterm' or 'sakura', so I guess it is some weird bug in the console tty "discipline" (to use an old UNIX term).
