Sorry, the files I attached might be a bit misleading, since I ran bugreport
having fixed the issue myself. I wanted to deliver more information about my
configuration, but not break the fixed state.
What I saw in dmesg, corresponded to this question:
https://superuser.com/questions/970508/iwlwifi-failing-with-error-code-2 so
alternating 'request for firmware file X' and 'Direct firmware load for X
failed with error -2' for every file in the accepted range. Hearing that v77 is
loaded is a bit weird, since that dmesg load would tell that v64 is the maximum
accepted one, that's why I chose v59.

Title:
Update to 24.04.01 breaks iwlwifi (Intel AX201)

Status in linux-firmware package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
I updated from 22.04 LTS to 22.04.01 LTS when offered the opportunity.
All management options for Wi-Fi and BT disappeared, and I couldn't
  use wireless access anymore.

Checking dmesg quickly shown, that no firmware blog (ucode) can be
loaded in the expected version. The files .ucode.zst were there, but
for not good use. I had to download the file (iwlwifi-
  QuZ-a0-hr-b0-59.ucode) manually from
  https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/firmware/linux-
firmware.git/tree/, reload it (sudo modprobe iwlwifi), and restart my
OS for wireless to be back on. I wouldn't call this update process
  swift.

The current version of linux-firmware seems to be old
(20240318.git3b128b60-0ubuntu2.2). Maybe an update would prevent this
problem from occurring to more users?
