I am having the same problem on the same laptop running Kubuntu 24.04. To add to the conversation I would like to mention that restarting is not an issue for me, whereas when i try to shut down my laptop I am having the same issues as described in the previous comments.

No LEDs light up. Furthermore, after sleep mode no resuming is possible. In both cases pressing the reset button in the back of the laptop with a needle or pressing the power button for 10 seconds allow a clean boot afterwards. Verification: This also happens when booting a 24.04 live usb stick, however it works cleanly with a 22.04 live usb stick. I am happy to provide more information if needed.
