Public bug reported:
Ubuntu 22.04.5 LTS
Kernel 6.8.0-45-generic
laptop Dell G3 17
Horizontal flickering / stripes occurs on average every minute. Most of the
times it takes 1 second, sometimes shorter, sometimes longer. Sometimes even
the user automatically gets logged out. Files cannot be copied during the
flickering: These files end up being smaller in size.
It only happens when the mouse cursor is in the lower half of the
screen.
The somewhat more severe flickering is accompanied by error "i915
0000:00:02.0: [drm] *ERROR* CPU pipe A FIFO underrun" in dmesg.
Flickering can't be recorded by Kazam, although the flickering was visible at
that moment.
If I use kernel 6.5.. nothing is wrong (maybe sometimes some black
blocks or stripes on a picture in Geeqie). I am using that kernel now,
because 6.8.0-45-generic is not my friend.
