Fix Committed
Bug description:
From some time now I am unable to set my battery charging battery
limit.
I was seeking help for the issue here:
https://askubuntu.com/questions/1527540/cannot-overwrite-value-under-
sys-class-power-supply-cmb0-charge-control-end-thr
And apparently this is a known issue:
- https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=219075
It is important to note, that until recent, I used the battery limit
and function keys features without issue on my system (didn't change
the distro, only applied recommended updates as they were incoming).
The fix seems to be implemented in the higher versions of the kernel.
However, it would be nice if it could be also included in my current
version, since it was something that used to work.
my system details:
$ cat /proc/version_signature
Ubuntu 6.8.0-45.45~22.04.1-generic 6.8.12
EDIT NOTE: booting with older kernel version:
Ubuntu 6.8.0-40.40~22.04.3-generic 6.8.12
Solves the issue.
