I am not sure where this zz-resume-auto file comes from. Maybe from a
previous install, as I do not see it in noble packages.
$ sudo apt-file update && apt-file search zz-resume-auto
$ echo $?

I would advise to regenerate your initramfs with the following command:
$ sudo update-initramfs -c -k 6.8.0-49-generic
If it does not work, maybe try to backup the zz-resume-auto file outside
of /etc/initramfs-tools/conf.d, regenerate the initramfs and try to boot
it.

computer boots up without any issues.

4. After Grub menu loads and countdown ends I just get a black screen
I booted into recovery mode on the new kernal and I just get "Loading
