[Impact]
As famously reported by Phoronix, there is an issue on Asus LNL
machines where the thermal profile is not set properly, degrading
performance. This has been fixed by upstream commit

[ Test Case ]
Run xonotic or some other app with benchmarking capabilities before
and after installing a fixed kernel, and check that performance has
improved dramatically.
