Same problem with Ubuntu 24.04 on am Thinkpad X13 AMD Ryzen 7 Pro 4750U and also in a Virtualbox VM
removing splash works with kernel 6.8.0.51 but it's ugly. Please fix this! Many thanks! Was able to boot 6.8.0-49. Could boot 6.8.0-50 with quiet splash commented out - with text input. Added i915 (my video driver) to /etc/initramfs-tools/modules and updated initrd, after which could boot 6.8.0-50.
