X1404VAP_X1404VA
Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
Triaged
Bug description:
On laptop model ASUS Vivobook 14 X1404VAP_X1404VA the internal
keyboard doesn't work on Ubuntu Linux 24.10. Typing has no effect.
A kernel bug has been filed for this issue, 219891:
https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=219891.
Similar issue was reported here:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/2037768, for different
laptop model.
Special patch was created by Paul Menzel to avoid this issue ->
https://lore.kernel.org/all/[email protected]/T/#u,
I've tested patched ubuntu mainline kernel 6.14.0-rc7 - it works perfectly
fine.
(non patched ubuntu mainline kernel 6.14.0-rc7 has an described issue)
So i just wanted to update Ubuntu team about such issue for possible
including mentioned patch in future kernel releases asap.
