Bug description:
  Hi,

I have a dell xps m1530 laptop with the following internal audio
  device:

00:1b.0 Audio device: Intel Corporation 82801H (ICH8 Family) HD Audio
  Controller (rev 02)

In hardy, sound recording from the internal mic works great, but in
Ibex sound recording with the internal mic is very silent. I can't
make it louder with the gnome volume control and alsamixer.

  See
  https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pulseaudio/+bug/275998/comments/109
  for a temporary solution
