Title: request to pull in an upstream bug fix for fanotify Status in linux package in Ubuntu: Fix Released Status in linux source package in Precise: Won't Fix Status in linux source package in Quantal: Won't Fix Bug description: There is an unfortunate bug in the fanotify implementation in pre 3.8 kernels, where due to a race a multithreaded application could end up being hanged in an uninterruptible state. The fix has been around since March last year, but pushed to mainline in November.
