Post upgrade to Ubuntu 24.04.2 LTS we observe that whenever we try to download something below message appears on screen: bnxt_en 0000:4b:00.1 ens3f1np1: NIC Link is Down After this file download is stuck, and NIC comes up in a few seconds, and file transfer resumes. After few seconds again (sometime after a minute or so), same message appears again. And again, we observe that NIC has come up, but it never gets IP (no DHCP Discover, or any communication is seen outwards). We tried assigning manual IP still we cannot reach it. It seems, firmware itself is doing some problem and physical communication breaks in link level. Nothing is seen in kernel logs other than NIC down and up events. I'll attach output screenshots anyway. Also, in logs you will see that I'm using RT Kernel, but it was coming consistently on generic kernel too, post that we upgraded to RT for our work. We tried searching, firmware/driver updates for this, on Broadcom website, but there isn't none. It seems Linux firmware needs update.
