Today I got updated 6.14.0 packages. Wi-Fi works. Thanks to everyone involved!
If anyone else had the same issue and reading this, note that in order to choose the right kernel you have to modify /etc/default/grub: ``` # GRUB_TIMEOUT_STYLE=hidden # GRUB_TIMEOUT=0 GRUB_TIMEOUT=5 ``` Run `sudo update-grub`, then choose the right kernel during the boot process (see advanced options). After booting under 6.14.0 kernel you can verify that everything works as expected and safely remove .deb packages of 6.14.x kernel that were installed manually. Couple of questions: 1. Should I keep previously installed /lib/firmware/ files? Right now I have: ``` $ ls -la /lib/firmware/ | grep iwlwifi-bz -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 624834 Jun 16 11:56 iwlwifi-bz-b0-fm-c0-92.ucode.zst -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 630666 Jun 16 11:56 iwlwifi-bz-b0-fm-c0-94.ucode.zst -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 47906 Jun 16 11:56 iwlwifi-bz-b0-fm-c0.pnvm.zst -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 566927 Jun 16 11:56 iwlwifi-bz-b0-gf-a0-92.ucode.zst -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 570276 Jun 16 11:56 iwlwifi-bz-b0-gf-a0-94.ucode.zst -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 7593 Jun 16 11:56 iwlwifi-bz-b0-gf-a0.pnvm.zst -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1570700 Jun 28 22:03 iwlwifi-bz-b0-hr-b0-96.ucode -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1788 Jun 28 22:03 iwlwifi-bz-b0-hr-b0.pnvm ``` 2. I was surprised to get 6.14.0 instead of 6.14.3 I used before (or newer version). Is there any policy in Ubuntu project that dictates to deliver .0 packages first and then update them, or... ?
