Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: cat /proc/version_signature Ubuntu 3.11.0-20.34-generic 3.11.10.6 ---------------- My specific case is with a Zalman ZM-M401R. The current solution is recompilation of the kernel, which works, but unfortunately turns downloading a kernel update into a huge chore. Please fix this upstream. Some other experiences: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2204588 http://askubuntu.com/questions/232564/sharkoon-drakonia-gaming-mouse-doesnt-work-at-all There are literally dozens of reports about various usb gaming peripherals not working correctly due to this. Following the solution in the second link works well, but perhaps it would be better for HID_MAX_USAGES to be revised to either be a sysctl or updated to reflect newish hardware? This is my first bug report, be gentle. --- ApportVersion: 2.12.5-0ubuntu2.2 Architecture: amd64 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 13.10 HibernationDevice: RESUME=UUID=d80b17a1-deaf-412a-b05b-97a327c989c9 MachineType: System manufacturer System Product Name MarkForUpload: True NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia zfs zunicode zavl zcommon znvpair Package: linux (not installed) ProcFB: ProcKernelCmdLine: BOOT_IMAGE=/vmlinuz-3.11.10.6-gamingmouse root=UUID=f8104246-b439-43cc-85bf-208a43278030 ro text ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.11.0-20.34-generic 3.11.10.6 PulseList: Error: command ['pacmd', 'list'] failed with exit code 1: Daemon not responding.
