The resolution of the screen actually seems to be fine (as evident by taking a screenshot) but things seem to get rendered on a much too small buffer and then streched to fit the screen (terrible upscaling?). Sorry I'm having a hard time explaining it, but see the attached screenshot. This actually happened multiple times.
