The Problem was solved when the new kernel was installed. Works now again...

WORKAROUND: * Install the proprietary nvidia driver I'm not sure if this should be consider as a blocker. But hey, we need to certified this I+N system with the proprietary driver, I think it's OK to not to call this a blocker.
