FreeBSD and DragonFly BSD have diverged quite a lot. To run freeBSD-6 binaries on DF you would need some kind of ABI layer, similar to the linux ABI. It is definitely non-trivial, because there are some major infrastructural differences. If you need to run a closed-source software that is available for FreeBSD 6 and Linux, it's probably much easier to try to get the Linux binary running.
